20/20 Challenge: Day 2

October 4th, 2007

It’s my third day of the 20k challenge; remember, I’m counting Day Zero. In case you need to catch up, make sure to read my Day Zero and Day 1 posts.

Today was especially easy, thank goodness because I just got home from dance class and I am tuckered out. Basically, today’s task consisted of reading through the chapter, learning about PLR products, and setting up some form of web payment system.

All told, Day 2 only required about 45 minutes of my time from start to finished; 10 minutes to read the chapter, 25 minutes to browse the PLR website and register for an account, and 10 minutes to sign up for a new PayPal account.

I decided to sign up for another PayPal account, in addition to my current one, because I mentioned I’d be doing this project from the perspective of a newbie and using a different name. Now, I didn’t go signing up to PayPal with an alias (that could get you in trouble), but I used my business name and e-mail account that’s not associated with my name in any way.

If you already have a PayPal account and need to set up a new one for whatever reason, you just need a different e-mail address and bank account than what’s associated with your current PayPal account.

Since there is usually a 3–5 day grace period for confirming your bank information, my new PayPal account should be ready in time for the promotional phase of the challenge.

The PLR website truly didn’t impress me, but I did happen across a product that strikes my fancy and gels with my own personal interests. That means I’ll probably be motivated to turn the product into a masterpiece before unleashing it on the world.

On a completely — almost — unrelated note, I did happen across a product that would fit in perfectly with my current promotions (not 20/20 Challenge related), so it wasn’t all bust. And don’t worry, I’m not including those expenses in the overall tally.

I wish there was more to tell, but that’s pretty much it for Day 2. See you tomorrow when I narrow down the product and begin thinking about how to spin it for sale. Now, I shall leave you with the numbers…

Today’s Expenses $0.00
Gross Expenses $282.03
Today’s Income $0.00
Gross Income $0.00
Today’s Time Investment 45 min.
Gross Time Investment 5.5 hrs
