Instead of actually moving into Day 6 of the course schedule, I’ve decided that I’ll continue with completing Day 5 — the sales letter.

As I mentioned in my Day 4 (Part 2) & 5 update, Michael provides a shortcut for preparing the sales letter and without that shortcut, it would’ve be a long undertaking. Still, it did take more than a few hours to get the sales letter ready and formatted to my liking.

In Day 4 of the 20/20 Challenge review, I mentioned that it was a continuation of the work requirement of Day 3. Well, Day 4 is spilling over into Day 5 for me because I decided that, instead of outsourcing the bulk of the work, I’d be doing much of the re-branding and modifications myself.

But, before I get into all of that, I must apologize for such a delay. You’re probably wondering why its taken me so long to get around to Day 5 (which would actually be Day 19 if I were following the 20/20 course schedule), its quite frankly because I have a business to run outside of this one, client projects to take care of, and a life outside of the internet. If you’ve been sitting on a good domain name idea for a while, now is the time to snag it because the overall rates will be increasing by about 7-10% on October 15, 2007. Although the increase in cost is for wholesale values, the most likely scenario is for the registrar to pass the increase on to customers; it’s only fair. Some registrars will only pass on some of the increased rate, and others will pass the full increase. How much will this affect you?

Armed with my notes and outlines, Day 3 of the challenge is complete for me. The updates have been dark for a few days because, like most other people, I had prior obligations that required my attention. But, that doesn’t mean that I’ve forsaken the project just yet.
